An informed way to view hidden racism. As promised, I will be posting articles and suggestions for reading in an effort to prepare ourselves to meet in person to discuss a topic that is both sensitive and inflammatory, the topic of racism. Our denomination has been on the cutting edge of working for dismantling this sin, for that is what it is. I have been blessed with some of the conversations we have had after reading the books and articles I have suggested. It is difficult reading and I applaud the efforts made to perhaps see things from a different perspective. What follows is a lengthy article posted by the Upper New York Conference. I encourage you to read it with an open mind and a prayer that the Holy Spirit guide and direct your thoughts. God’s blessings on your work.
