Day 396 | Monday, 19 April 2021
An Easter Season Beginning “Rise up! There is joy all around. Stand tall! Hope is alive! Dance a little jig: Death has lost its sting. Smile, Even though you know some pain. Sing A resurrection song.” An Easter Season Invocation “To honor and praise you, O God, we come in gratitude and love. With great joy and amazement, we remember the victory of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, we raise our voices in praise and thanksgiving for your incomparable gift of love revealed in Christ's resurrection. Amen.” An Easter Affirmation of Faith “Easter turns doubts upside down, sets loose new possibilities, reveals a God stronger than death, a love mightier than despair. Easter brings us the risen Christ, who knows our wounds, forgives our denials, sends us out to love and serve; who is not bound by a period in history but finds us wherever we journey; who receives our questions, whispers a word of peace and causes our hearts to be warmed. Easter releases the Holy Spirit, setting us free from sins that wound, resentments that smolder, anger that burns; empowering us to be witnesses to truth and obedient to a higher authority; causing us to walk with joy in our steps, hope in our hearts and a song on our lips.” An Easter Season Prayer “Today, O God, help us to remember Jesus, the One who taught with divine authority. In his story may we find our authority. Remind us of your great purposes and intentions in history. Fix our hearts on the place where true joys are to be found; unclutter our minds from their comfortable confusions. Teach us how to get to clarity and to go on, step by little step. Let us live in the light of your resurrection and banish darkness and death from our door. Let us be free of fear and free for life. In the name of the One who was raised from the dead. Amen.” An Easter Season Blessing “Our risen Lord has shown us the mark of the nails and said "Peace be with you." He has breathed on us and filled us with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let us share Christ's peace, forgiveness and reconciling love.” Today – School Bus Drivers
