Redemptive Compassion is a biblical philosophy on how we can offer wholistic help to those we serve. It has evolved over 15 years of working daily with people who find themselves struggling with needs in their life and unable to overcome them on their own. It challenges many current and common ways of addressing need based upon six core principles:
 1. Everyone has value
2. We are called to invest relationally in each other
3. Everyone has capacity and potential
4. Mutual participation is important
5. We must use wisdom and discernment
6. What we do should transform

Need will not change how we address need. We are facing critical times in America, and the Church will soon have an unprecedented opportunity to step to the forefront of addressing need. Will we be ready when the time comes? And more importantly, will we understand what God has biblically called us to do when the opportunity arises.

Susan Justham, Executive Director, Love In the Name of Christ of SCC will offer this course as a free service to our church. Participants will purchase the corresponding book for a cost of $12 each. If individuals cannot afford this book, Mission and Outreach can help with this need.
This course will be offered on Tuesdays at 4:30 PM during Lent (2/6-3/19). We will share a light soup and sandwich dinner at 4:30 and will begin the teaching and discussion soon after.

Sign-ups are essential and we are hoping for fifteen participants to make this a fruitful endeavor. Sign-ups will be done on the church app, by calling the church office (716)664-5803, or filling out the form below. Please sign up before January 30, 2024 so materials can be acquired.
