Redemptive Compassion is a biblical philosophy on how we can offer wholistic help to those we serve. It challenges many current and common ways of addressing need based upon six core principles:

Everyone has value

We are called to invest relationally in each other

Everyone has capacity

Mutual participation is important

We must use wisdom and discernment

What we do should transform

Need will not change until we change how we address need. Will we be ready when the time comes to step to the forefront of addressing needs? Will we understand what God has biblically called us to do when the opportunity arises?

This course offered by Susan Justham, Executive Director, Love In the Name of Christ of SCC will take place on Tuesdays at 4:30PM during Lent (2/6-3/19). There is a corresponding book for $12 however if you can not afford this, Mission and Outreach can help. Fellowship with a light soup and sandwich will be shared at 4:30 followed by the study.
